The PRINCIPI IVVENT (Prince of Youth) reverse was commonly used for young Caesars.
Philip II was just approaching adolescence when he was made co-emperor of the Roman Empire by his father, Philip the Arab. When the elder Philip was defeated in battle and killed near Verona in September 249 by his eventual successor, Trajan Decius, Philip II was soon thereafter murdered in Rome by the Praetorian Guard. He was twelve years old at the time.
