A further note on ancient coins :

All of the ancient coins found in this store were struck by hand between 1,000 to 2,500 years ago, and are literally unique pieces of history.  Some were minted to pay the soldiers of a king or a city, others used by tradesmen, farm workers, or housewives to buy their bread and wine.  Some show great wear and use, having been circulated for decades, or even hundreds of years.  Others may look almost brand new, as they may have been hoarded or buried very soon after they were minted.  If you have an interest in the great empires, cities, rulers, and people of the distant past, ancient coins present what can be a very affordable way to own and hold a piece of that history in your hands.
