REVERSE: PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, Maximus, in military attire, standing left, holding baton in right hand and transverse spear in left hand; behind him, two standards; S C in fields.

Grade/Notes:
Almost Very Fine. Warm brown patina. Well-centered. Obverse a bit smoothed, reverse with rough surfaces.

Historical Notes:
Maximus was the teenage son of Emperor Maximinus I 'the Thracian'. He was appointed Caesar in 236, and was murdered along with his father by revolting soldiers during the siege of Aquileia.
