Grade/Notes:

Fine.  Apparently gilded some time in the past, with high points showing underlying dark brown surfaces.

 

Historical Notes:

Kastulo was an Iberian town in southern Spain (in the present day province of Jaén).  During the Second Punic War (218-201 BC), Castulo was the site of the Battle of Kastulo, where the Carthaginian general Hasdrubal Barca, brother of the famous Hannibal, annihilated a Roman army led by Publius Scipio, father of Scipio Africanus.
