Aelia Flaccilla was the first wife of the Roman emperor, Theodosius I, and the mother emperors Arcadius and Honorius. She died in 386, seven years into Theodosius's reign, at about the age of 30. She was a devout Nicene Christian, and while she was empress did many charitable works amongst the poor and disabled.
